Background:

Gregor, 60, is running on the Libertarian and Independence party lines. Gregor has served as Southampton’s highway superintendent since 2010.
Policies:
- As a highway superintendent, Gregor said roads were a concern to him and he wants to improve town infrastructure.
- Gregor said he wanted the town to be better prepared in dealing with storms and weather-related crises that could impact the town.
- He said he wanted to “treat the people of this town equally, whether they’re millionaires or blue collar workers.”
Republican
Gregory G. Robins
Background:
REPUBLICAN
Robins, 69, is running on the Republican line. Robins is a retired teacher. He also served as a commissioner in the North Sea Fire District.
Policies:
- Robins wants to focus on changing the property assessment process in Southampton.
- Traffic was also a concern to Robins, especially for emergency vehicles, and he suggested trying new methods such as exploring a possible third lane on Route 39.
- On code enforcement, Robins advocated for stricter enforcement against those who violate housing violations.
Democratic, Conservative, Working Families
Jay H. Schneiderman (Incumbent)

Schneiderman, 57, is running on the Democratic, Working Families and Conservative party lines. He is seeking his third two-year term.
Policies:
- Schneiderman said he has delivered four budgets with reductions in the tax rate.
- He said he wants to focus on improving the health of the town’s bays and waters by reducing nitrogen pollution from sanitary systems.
- He said addressing traffic and workforce housing issues and reducing the crime rate are also among his campaign goals.
