Suffolk County Family Court Judge (2 Seats Open)

DEMOCRATIC

Gumbs Moore, 49, of Wheatley Heights, is running on the Democratic, Conservative, Working Families and Independence party lines in the general election. She is a court attorney referee in the Suffolk County Family Court, a position she has held since July 2017. Prior to that, Gumbs Moore was the principal law clerk to the Hon. Theresa Whelan at the Suffolk County Family Court since January 2016. Gumbs Moore received a law degree in 2000 from the Touro College Jacob D. Fuchsberg Law Center and currently sits on its Board of Governors. She was admitted to the New York State bar in 2000.

REPUBLICAN

Hoffmann, 64, of Hauppauge, is running on the Republican and Libertarian party lines in the general election. Since 2017, he has been a matrimonial and family law attorney at Hedayati Law Group in Melville. From 2007 to 2016, Hoffmann was a Suffolk County Family Court judge. He received his law degree from the California Western School of Law in 1980. He was admitted to the New York State bar in 1983, and is admitted to the U.S. Court of Appeals, Second Circuit; the U.S. District Court, Eastern District and Southern District of New York, and the Massachusetts State bar.

DEMOCRATIC

Schiavoni, 55, of North Haven, is running on the Democratic, Conservative, Working Families and Independence party lines in the general election. She is a Southampton town justice since 2008 and is in private practice at the law firm of Campolo, Middleton and McCormick LLP since 2014. Schiavoni earned her law degree from Whittier College School of Law in 1996. She was admitted to the New York State bar in 2004; she already had been a member of the District of Columbia and Florida bars.

REPUBLICAN

Sendlenski, 46, of Southampton, is running on the Republican and Libertarian party lines in the general election. He is an attorney in private practice in Water Mill. Sendlenski was the Town of East Hampton attorney from 2016 to May 2019. He was the East Hampton Assistant Town Attorney from 2014-2015. Sendlenski was an assistant town attorney in Southampton Town from 2006 to 2013. He graduated from Suffolk University Law School in Massachusetts in 2003. He was admitted to the New York State bar in 2004.
